2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC Truck of the Year Candidate
The highly-anticipated release of the GLC-Class Mercedes-Benz just got more interesting. The list of nominees for the North American Car and Truck of the Year is officially here and on it is the GLC, which will be available for sale in November of this year. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC Truck of the Year is one of 21 trucks on the list of new or redesigned vehicles. The award is one of the biggest honors an automobile manufacturer can receive and a great indication of the quality of a new car.
The winner is decided by a panel of judges who are given a certain amount of points that they are allowed to give out. In the upcoming months, the number of vehicles will be trimmed to 10 cars and 10 trucks. By December, there will be three of each remaining. Finally, in January, the winners will be announced at the Detroit Auto Show.

Even though the SUV isn’t available for purchase yet, there are many things that make the GLC stand out against the competition as one of the best trucks of the year. It is redesigned from the GLK-Class and outperforms its predecessor in every way. For example, the GLC is larger in size, and lighter in weight. This means that the GLC is more spacious and more stable than the GLK, while also being quicker and more fuel efficient. The weird thing is that the GLC actually looks smaller than the GLK.
The GLC comes with Dynamic Select driving modes that make it incredibly versatile and functional. It also comes standard with driving-assistance safety features such as Pre-Safe Brake, Pre-Safe Plus, Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, and Attention Assist.
These features of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC make it a top-contender for this year’s crown. The GLC will be available at Mercedes-Benz of Arrowhead when it is released in November, so stop in for a test drive.
