Phoenix Carnival 2016
Phoenix Carnival is a tradition that is filled with colorful fun. It takes place during Memorial Day and the days leading up to it and features a few different events. In short, it is meant to bring cultures together with Caribbean dance and food.
Flag Party – May 27
On Central Avenue in Downtown Phoenix, everyone is encouraged to join the party with a flag of their own. Caribbean flags are common, but you can bring any flat that you want to show off. There will be live music and party animals wearing flags on their heads.
All White Affair – May 28
Don’t worry, everything is all white. The All White Affair is a party with dancing and food. Where as much white as you can and celebrate our unity with Caribbean and all other cultures.
Masquerade Street Parade – May 29
Who doesn’t love a good parade? Especially one heavily focused on music. The parade will feature different costumes, music, and convertibles!
Carnival Village – May 29
The Village will be open all day with vendors, places to rest in the shade, and be entertained by musical acts. There will also be arts and crafts and other activities for people of all ages.
Be Cool Down Pool Party – May 30
