A gift for Mother’s Day
Easter has passed, which means it’s time to start planning for the next spring holiday, which is Mother’s Day. This is the day of the year dedicated to showing the motherly figures in our lives how much they mean to us. It is a great time to treat your mom to brunch, a bouquet of flowers or simply spend some time together. Today we’re going to help by finding some 2017 Mother’s Day events to attend here in the Phoenix area.
Smitholator Cookie Shop in Mesa, AZ is hosting a Mother’s Day cookie decorating event on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. MST. All ages and skill levels are welcome and for a $10 entry fee, you get to decorate three Mother’s Day-themed cookies. Ticket sales end May 10 and each participate must have a separate ticket.
The Phoenix Art Museum is beginning its free family weekends just in time for Mother’s Day. They are offering free entry every second weekend of the month, and this year that includes Mother’s Day weekend. It is open May 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The free admission includes exciting activities, scavenger hunts, live performances, story time, free tours and more. May’s theme is travel, which will make for some unique art creations and activities.
