Redesign Details

The 2018 E-Class Cabriolet is longer and wider than the outgoing model, which treats rear passengers to noticeably more legroom and increased comfort on long journeys. The redesign also opens up the trunk—even with the top down, the trunk offers a high level of everyday practicality. The convertible’s classic soft top features improve insulation for reduced noise on the highway.

All-Season Comfort and Performance

For the first time ever, the E-Class Cabriolet is available with advanced 4MATIC® all-wheel-drive, which enables the convertible to deliver year-round performance, even in tough road conditions. The all-wheel-drive system transfers torque to the wheels with the most traction to provide improved control and confidence behind the wheel.

The new E-Class Cabriolet also features several comfort systems to enable year-round driving. AIRSCARF®, an industry-first neck-level heating system, circulates warm air around the neck area via vents on the sides of the seats to provide warmth while top-down driving in cooler temperatures. AIRCAP®, a system developed for Mercedes-Benz convertibles, adds an electric wind deflector to the roof frame and an electric wind blocker behind the backseat. The wind blocker can be lowered or raised within seconds at the touch of a button.
