A vehicle containing the utility of a compact crossover while demonstrating the speed and agility of a coupe can be a difficult concept to envision, and deeper variations within this concept be confusing. The possibilities presented by this dilemma are what make the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe such compelling vehicles. But what exactly sets the two apart, and which one is right for you?
[Check out our entire inventory of new Mercedes-Benz vehicles, here!]
The most obvious difference between the GLC Coupe and GLE Coupe is the slightly smaller size and sleeker, sportier exterior of the former. Being slightly larger and more commanding, the GLE Coupe enjoys a longer wheelbase, more ground clearance, and larger cargo volume. The deeper disparities between these two models lie in the number of trim levels and premium options available. While the GLC Coupe is available in four trim levels starting with the GLC 300, the GLE Coupe is available in two starting with the GLE 43 4MATIC.
While the two vehicles have surprisingly similar specifications at the same trim level, the most dramatic differences are seen in their overall power output and performance.
Though both models feature tremendous power and luxurious interior technologies and comforts, The GLE Coupe offers a bump in horsepower, increased interior and cargo space, and more aggressive exterior styling.
Depending on your needs and driving style, you may opt for the sleeker and sportier GLC Coupe, but if you’re looking for improved power and utility in a more robust compact crossover, the GLE Coupe may suit you better.
