New Mercedes-Benz Design Idiom

The new design idiom of Mercedes-Benz is distinguished by clear contours and reduced body lines. The 2019 CLS Coupe features both of those design elements, as well as character markings like a grille contour that widens towards the base, a forward-slanting front section, wide, low-set headlights, and two-section taillamps. However, despite all the new design elements, the 2019 CLS design still reflects the timeless aura of the first CLS that set a new standard and quickly became a design icon.

Performance Specs

The third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS sports a completely new in-line six-cylinder engine. The CLS 450 and CLS 450 4MATIC® are both powered by an electrified engine with EQ Boost and a 48-volt onboard electrical system. The powertrain produces an exhilarating 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. An additional 21 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque is available via EQ Boost over short periods. The 2019 CLS Coupe has a top 0-60 MPH acceleration speed of 4.8 seconds.

Interior Features

Opening the door of the new 2019 CLS Coupe reveals a spacious, luxurious interior with clear basic lines and sensual, flowing contours. Newly designed seats, a high-resolution central display, and a fully digital cockpit can all be found inside the new coupe. The CLS also features the brand’s new ENERGIZING Comfort system, which links various comfort systems in the vehicle like climate control, heated and massaging seats, and music to help create a specific mood based on one of the system’s six wellness programs.
