Best places to catch Pokemon in Phoenix AZ

Thanks to the its large population and popularity, there are so many places to catch Pokemon in Phoenix AZ! Obviously Pokemon are everywhere. That has always been true, but there are a few tips and tricks that can make some locations more appealing than others. Here are some of the best places to catch Pokemon in Phoenix AZ.

Public Parks

With all of the issues with trespassing and jaywalking that have come about as a result of Pokemon Go, a public park is definitely the best place to catch and train Pokemon. They are out of the way of traffic, and are usually filled with other trainers, just trying to get by in this Pokemon eat Pokemon world, just like you.

Granada Park

Granada Park is located right in the heart of Phoenix. It features walking trails, picnic facilities, and a lake! Did you know water Pokemon are more likely to show up when you are near water? Granada Park is a great place explore even if you aren’t looking for Pokemon and it should only take a few hours.

North Mountain Peak

If you are free from small children and looking for a bigger adventure, North Mountain Park has difficult hiking trails and secluded places where you are guaranteed to find some rare Pokemon.

College Campuses

Rule of thumb: where there are students, there will be Pokestops. If you are low on Pokeballs or potions, a quick stroll though one of these locations will get you back on top. The best part about these kinds of places are all the power outlets!

Phoenix Zoo

Especially if you are just there for a ride and supervision, the zoo is a great place to pass the time while searching for Pokemon. Who knows, you might even learn something while you’re at the largest privately owned, non-profit zoo in the United States! See?!
