It may only be May, but the sweltering Arizona summer heat is already moving in–wither higher temperatures to come in the next few weeks. With such extreme temperatures, it’s important to make sure your vehicle is properly maintained to reduce the chance of it overheating, its tires blowing out, or some other automotive mishap. Luckily, the service team at Mercedes-Benz of Arrowhead is here to serve you!

Keep Your Engine Cool | Cooling systems protect engines from overheating, but they need to be flushed periodically. Check your owner’s manual to see how often a flush is recommended. Between flushes, make sure the vehicle’s coolant is filled to the proper level.
Keep Your Tires Inflated | Driving on under-inflated tires is never a good idea, but especially in extreme temperatures. Under-inflated tires can easily overheat while driving, and chances are further increased when the roads are hot, which increases the likelihood of a blowout. Check your car’s tire pressures at least once a month.
Have your AC Checked | Having working AC is extremely important in the summer months, as you could become stranded without any way to keep cool until help arrives. Have your AC checked and serviced at least once a year.
