Watch Mercedes-Benz Daredevil Kitesurf 300 feet in the air!
Mercedes-Benz is a leader in everything that has to do with transportation. From cars, to trucks, to motorcycles, to yachts, we like to think of Mercedes-Benz as Red Bull with class. In the water, the German powerhouse is known for the GT3 cigarette racing boat and the HUGO BOSS racing yacht. Now, kitesurfing?!

Alex Thomson might not be a name that the United States is familiar with. He is a British yachtsman with an eye for everything awesome. Aside from racing yachts, his pastime is kitesurfing. If you’ve never seen someone kitesurfing, it is basically like parasailing with a wakeboard.
You can’t tell by simply looking at it, but the HUGO BOSS is made out of carbon fiber. Its first race will take place in November at the Vendee Globe race, but until then, Alex Thomson is using it for kitesurfing stunts in Portugal. It hardly sounds like work, but we’ll buy it. First came the keel walk, then the mast walk, and now the Skywalk.
This one looks even more dangerous than the Skywalk because what if he fell back onto the boat? Would you do it?
This one is a little tamer except, wait a minute, what if the boat fell on HIM?
So Alex shows up in a new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, drives it right onto the beach and skids to a stop. So far so good. Then he straps into his wakeboard with his suit still on. Here we go. Watch the video to see him double the height of the HUGO BOSS mast at 280 feet in the air. Even at 25 knots, he makes it look easy. Bookmark our blog for more HUGO BOSS insanity!
