Just announced: 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560e

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560e is the latest addition to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The plug-in hybrid sedan hosts a 7.2-kW charger that allows for fast charging of the battery. The hybrid drive system of the S560e offers the ability to drive up to 25 miles using only electric power. The engine of the 2019 S560e offers the power of a 363-horsepower of a V6 spark-ignition engine. The hybrid engine was designed to increase torque and output with the help of the 9G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission. With the 2019 S560e, you’ll be able to reach an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph with a 0-60 mph time of only 4.9 seconds.

Even though the size of the battery has not changed, the new lithium-ion battery offers an increased capacity. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560e is optimized for high-efficiency, low-emission driving. In concert with intelligent radar and stereo camera technology, ECO Assist utilizes navigation data, sign recognition information, surrounding traffic and more to compute the desired and optimum driving recommendations.

One of the coolest standard features announced in the 2019 S560e is the pre-entry climate control. Drivers can use the Mercedes me app before taking off on a trip for the perfect air and seat temperature. With an electronically-powered refrigerant compressor and electric heating elements, the S560e can control the temperature of the air, seats, steering wheel and armrests.

Pricing and more specifications about the 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560e will be available closer to the release date of 2019.
