Is there a new AMG® trim for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Yes! There is a new AMG® trim for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS. We are speaking of the AMG® GLS 63, which provides the GLS with more power and performance than ever before. Check it out!

2021 Mercedes-AMG® GLS 63 power & technology

The flagship of the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup is a powerful model with a spacious interior and many technology features. Now, its power increases significantly with the new AMG® trim, which we didn’t see in the 2020 version. This model starts you off with 603 horsepower with up to 21 hp EQ boost and 627 lb.-ft. of torque with an EQ boost of up to 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Because of this imposing power, you’ll be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 174 mph.

Looking at technology, this model has the Mercedes-Benz User Experience infotainment system. Since this is a fairly common system it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

You’ll also have the AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL® air suspension to keep things smooth on the road, Adaptive High Beam Assist to illuminate your drive, and an optional AMG® Night Package to emphasize the sleek contours of the GLS.

Additionally, the AMG® DYNAMICS® and AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT® drive systems give you six driving modes, including Sand, Trail, Individual, Sport+, Sport, and Comfort.

2021 AMG® GLS 63 standard features

Other standard features of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG® GLS 63 include the AMG® Performance Exhaust system, 64-color ambient lighting, 9 USB ports, a keyless start system, and safety features such as the Active Brake Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist.

You can also choose between a 7-person seating capacity or a 6-person seating capacity. If you choose the 6-person seating capacity, then you’ll be able to enjoy captains’ chairs in the 2nd row. Either way, you’ll have 2nd-row heated seats.

If you have any questions, then we encourage you to contact your friendly Mercedes-Benz of Arrowhead. We would love to tell you more about your favored luxury SUV, and you can take the 2020 GLS for a test drive!
