What are the driver-assist technologies in the 2020 MB GLE?

There are some excellent driver-assist technologies to look forward to in the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV that makes this vehicle worth the wait! Let’s find out what some of them are.

Innovations in the 2020 GLE

Among them are safety features such as the Active Stop-and-Go Assist and the Turn-off function. The Active Stop-and-Go Assist can potentially help you by recognizing driving situations that could turn into a traffic jam. It also can help you in stop-and-go traffic of speeds up to 37 miles per hour.

This is paired with the Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC®, which uses information from LiveTraffic® to detect possible traffic jams and alert you to them. Then, this technology will slow your vehicle down to about 60 miles per hour, which can potentially help your vehicle stop faster if you do hit a traffic jam.

The turn-off function is part of the Active Brake Assist. Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Assist helps you when you are trying to turn, and brakes if it detects a vehicle that you could potentially collide with. Now, this feature has a turn-off function, in case you want to take things into your own hands!

You’ll also have the Active Blind Spot Assist, which alerts you to objects in your blind spot when your vehicle is stationary. This is aided by the Exit Warning Assist, which helps to potentially avoid or at least reduce the severity of a collision by alerting you to a potential collision.

It’s important to note that while these features can be helpful, they aren’t infallible. The best way to avoid an accident is to stay alert and be aware as you drive.
