Mercedes-Benz has a legacy that truly speaks for itself, but by the looks of the newest version of the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the automaker is not going to be resting on its laurels. Driving a luxury SUV is a heightened experience like no other, and with the 2020 GLE, Mercedes-Benz looks to be aiming to provide its drivers with a ride that takes the luxury lifestyle to a new level. When will the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE go on sale in the U.S.? The vehicle will make its debut at Mondial l’Automobile in Paris in October of 2018, and it will grace Mercedes-Benz showrooms across the United States beginning in 2019. In the meantime, we do have some information to present, so let’s have a look at what we know so far.

Strike a pose: The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE presents itself as a bold and elegant vehicle, at once timeless and of the moment. It’s carved in such a way to allow the wind to flow across every crafted line and angle on its muscular physique, which not only looks stunning but also allows for solid fuel efficiency. The ULTRA Wide Beam of the LED Intelligent Light System will produce the highest amount of light intensity that is allowed by the law, so as usual, the automaker is walking right up to the line and pushing the envelope.
Inside, the ambience that you could only find in a Mercedes-Benz might make you wish you never had to leave the vehicle. The wheelbase is over three inches longer than its preceding model, and the result inside is a more spacious cabin, particularly when it comes to legroom for passengers in the second row, which sees a total increase of nearly three inches from its predecessor. The entire interior flows smoothly, with every element carefully considered for the functionality and comfort of drivers and passengers.
The 2020 will feature the latest generation of MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), the beautiful and revolutionary multimedia system that puts what you need within easy reach. Two 12.3-inch screens will be standard, and they will be arranged in line with each other to create a widescreen appearance. Four different styles will be offered, so you can choose how MBUX will appear based on your preferences Classic, Sport, Progressive, and Understated. Classic is an elegant mix and a small update to the original look. Sport appears more high-tech, with a black and yellow contrasting look. Progressive will present “digitalism in reduced form,” according to the Mercedes-Benz press release, while the Understated style will display just what is necessary.
The optional MBUX Interior Assistant offers even more functionality with this infotainment system, including motion recognition to anticipate your needs as you move your arms and hands.
