It’s time to break out the water hose, because your car needs a wash! Here’s why you should wash the exterior of your car regularily, and some essential supplies to do so. Check it out!
Fall allergies, spring allergies, basically any dust and pollen that irritate your sinuses and give you a case of the sniffles can be helped by washing your car. This way, you can get rid of the exterior dust and pollen and reduce the amount you take inside the car and house with you from brushing up against it with clothes or bags.
If you live in a city with tons of dust and pollen, then we suggest you wash your car every other week. This way, you can keep your car clean, but you don’t need to go overboard with it and rack up that water bill.
If you have a long commute, see tons of bird or animal droppings on your car, or live in an area with a lot of air pollution, we also suggest washing your car frequently. However, if you don’t drive your car very often, have a short commute, or live in a cooler climate, then you can get by with washing your car every month or every other month. However, it is ultimately up to you to decide how often you want to wash your car and if you want to DIY it, or take it to the car wash.

If you just want the bare necessities, then you can get by with just a few items: Microfiber cloth or glove, car wash soap, and microfiber towels or a chamois. This way, you’ll have something to scrub with, soap, and of course something to dry your car off with.
Ta da! You’re done. Now, off to wash your car! Don’t forget to get those headlights and taillights, too.
