2017 Mercedes-Benz CLS vs 2016 Jaguar XF

The Mercedes-Benz CLS and the Jaguar XF come from very different families. Despite the extra horsepower in the Jaguar, the Mercedes-Benz jumps from 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds, which is an unnoticeable .2 seconds under the Jaguar. Additionally, the Mercedes-Benz actually has a higher top speed than the XF S and gets better fuel economy on the highway thanks to a lower drag coefficient and a lower overall height. The Jaguar does win some points by sporting an 8-speed transmission and having a lower curb weight, but then the only explanation for the extra performance in the Mercedes-Benz is the biturbo system. Traditionally, superchargers make more torque than turbochargers. In this case, Mercedes-Benz has designed the perfect balance with two turbochargers to make more torque than the supercharged XF S.  

On the inside, the Jaguar and the Mercedes-Benz CLS actually look similar. They feature clean dashboards, dominated by an infotainment screen and a center console for the likes of a king or queen. The leather seats are large, comfortable, and adjustable in every way possible. Both vehicles also feature different driving modes, but the Mercedes-Benz has more options.
