Mercedes-Benz has been teasing us with videos and press releases of the 2017 E-Class for almost a year. The E-Class is bridging the gap toward fully-autonomous features such as Mercedes-Benz Park Pilot and the new interior display, but until now, we haven’t even seen an E-Class without camouflage hiding its new features, but that all changes now that the Detroit Auto Show is stealing the internet. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Official release date has been announced along with the many other new features of the 2017 E-Class.

The outside of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a little more bulky and muscular than the 2016 E-Class. This could be in part because it is now longer and wider, or it could be the new S-Class style that all drivers want in a luxury automobile. The E-Class now also features a new grille, new headlights and tail lights, and a new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 241 horsepower as a standard.

The inside of the E-Class is actually where much of the added value comes into play. The 2017 E-Class is the first vehicle in history to offer a touch-pad steering wheel, and it is also pioneering instrument cluster design. The all-digital screen spans from the speedometer gauges to entertainment screen in the center of the dashboard. These screens can be customized to meet the needs of individual driers and they seamlessly integrate smartphone technology throughout the car.
