New 2017 G550 Biturbo V8
The newest and most exciting edition to the G-Class family is the new engine in the G550. Soon to be available world-wide, the G550 now sports a 4-liter biturbo V8 with 32 valves, 422 horsepower, and approximately 450 foot-pounds of torque. The previous G550 used a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 that had 35 less horsepower and significantly lower gas mileage estimates.

New Color Options
New colors will be available with the popular G-Class when it comes out for 2017. Among the new colors are Solar Beam, Tomato Red, Alien Green, Sunset Beam, and Galactic Beam. That’s a lot of beams! These colors will be available with a new Color Package on the AMG model and will also include obsidian black detachable parts that add to the aesthetic look of the G-Class.
2017 G-Class Release Date
Mercedes-Benz has announced that the G550 will be at dealerships by December of this year, with the rest of the lineup being available this month some time. These are European release dates, however, so we will likely have to wait until September of next year for ours.
