2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet Features
Only three months has passed since its last stunt, but Mercedes-Maybach is at it again with the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet. Combining the performance of the Mercedes-AMG S65 with the luxury of the Mercedes-Maybach S600, and then adding the comfort of the S-Class Cabriolet on top, Mercedes-Benz may have hit the jackpot with this one. The car will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show on November 16th, but here are a few things we were able to determine ahead of time based on the 21-second teaser video released by Mercedes-Benz.
2017 Mercedes-Maybach S550 Sedan
Adaptive Aerodynamics
We might be reaching with this one, but the emphasis made on the front bumper at the beginning of the video leads us to believe the S650 Cabriolet will share adaptive aerodynamics with the Mercedes-AMG GT R and the GT C Roadster.
Burmester Surround Sound Stereo
The Burmester logo is what gave this one away. Get ready for 26 speakers, a subwoofer, and almost 2,000 watts of stereo.
Designo Upholstery
The luxurious Designo Upholstery is a long-time favorite at Mercedes-Benz and complements the massaging, ventilated, heated, 12-way adjustable front seats with memory.
Limited Production
A quick look at the center console suggests only 300 of these bad boys will be made. Of course, if it is popular enough, a second production could be in the future.
Fuel Economy
This is our favorite one because it promises us a combustion engine. For all we know it could be paired with one or more electric motors, but at the end of the day, you can still count on 20 miles per gallon, which is a little less than the current Mercedes-Maybach S600.
