First things are first. Partake in a holiday tradition in central Phoenix on November 11th at 11 a.m. The Phoenix parade is one of the largest in the area and will feature more than 100 floats! It’s too late to register, otherwise we would encourage you to make a Mercedes-Benz float.
Veteran Storytelling
Looking for something different? The South Mountain Community College is hosting a veterans storytelling event. Here, you will find post 9/11 veterans telling stories about their time in the military. The event begins at 6 PM on Thursday, November 10th.
Gourd Dancing
Stepping even further out of the box, the Heard Museum is hosting a Gourd Dance to honor United States Veterans, specifically American Indian United States War Veterans and their families. It’s a pow wow you don’t want to miss if you want to learn and honor at the same time.

The Veterans Memorial Wall will be unveiled in Peoria on Saturday, November 5th in its updated and enhanced state, right here in Peoria.

Also happening right here in Peoria is a five kilometer Veterans Day run. It will commence prior to the tribute to veterans on Saturday, November 5th.
