2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet

Convertible Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coming This Summer

2017 Mercedes-AMG C-Class Cabriolet Release Date

The Mercedes-Benz family tree continues to grow with the introduction of the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe. It fits into the Mercedes-Benz master plan all but perfectly but there is still something missing. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will both be available as cabriolet models this spring, so why not the C-Class? A 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet release date has not officially been announced by Mercedes-Benz yet, but a disguised test version has been spotted on city streets.

With both the cabriolet and coupe models in place, the C-Class lineup will be completed, assuming it doesn’t get transformed into a wagon, like the E-Class. As a convertible, it is safe to expect an eight- to ten-thousand dollar price increase, a slightly wider body, and weird tan lines. It won’t have quite the handling power of the coupe variation, but for everyday driving, this would be impossible to notice.

The C43 will be a replacement of sorts for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG. This model was technically never a coupe or a cabriolet, so it is a bit of a stretch, but it will have the same 3.0L biturbo V6 and share the same body as the Mercedes-AMG C63, which will also be converted into a cabriolet model this spring.

2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet Release Date

The 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 is probably one of the fastest cars a civilian can drive without fatality. As a cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz may be asking for trouble, but only the best kind of trouble. As with the C43, the C63 cabriolet will not have the handling performance that the coupe and sedan versions will offer, but in a straight line, there is virtually no difference.
