You can’t drive in the dark unless your headlights and taillights are working. Not only is it common sense, but it’s the law. So, if the lights aren’t working, it can be imperative to get the bulb replaced. Thankfully, this is an easy task that many people often undertake on their own. Here’s how you can replace the headlights if one has a burnt-out bulb in your Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Headlight bulb replacement
Before you can start replacing the burnt-out bulb, you’ll need to know what type of bulb your vehicle has. This is an important step, as you need to know the wattage of the bulb. If you are looking for the bulb type, you can find it by searching the owner’s manual of your specific vehicle.
- Open the hood of your car
- Locate the power connector & remove it.
- Pull the lightbulb out. If it isn’t coming out right away, your vehicle may have a clip or fastening that is holding it in place. Don’t yank on the bulb itself, simply depress the clip to release the bulb.
- You’ll want to look at the bulb you bought with the one you just removed. If they look different, you may not have purchased the correct one.
- Insert new bulb into place and replace the power connector.
- Turn on your headlights to make sure they are functioning correctly.
