No PARK PILOT for American 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes-Benz PARK PILOT in United States

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is gaining a lot of attention as being the closest in the industry to full automation. It drives, monitors, and parks, all by itself. What Mercedes-Benz failed to mention is that the United States version will not come with all the same technologies right away. One of these technologies is Mercedes-Benz Benz PARK PILOT.

PARK PILOT Driver Assistance

PARK PILOT is a new technology that allows drivers to park their cars with a smartphone. Basically, your phone becomes your controller to guide vehicles such as the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class into a parking space. This will come in handy when it is finally brought to the U.S. because it allows you to fit into parking spaces that you otherwise would not be able to because you don’t need to open the door. PARK PILOT pulls your car into the tight squeeze and backs it out for you when you are ready to drive again.

When will PARK PILOT come to United States?

Mercedes-Benz PARK PILOT will not be available in the United States for 2017. It is going to be reserved for European models, but we aren’t really sure why. Is it that Mercedes-Benz doesn’t trust us with James Bond gadgets?

Although it is unclear why it will not be available to us on the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class release date, it will certainly make it stateside within 2 years. More than likely, it will come with the 2018 model, but until then, we will just have to envy our friends across the pond.
