Updates to Mercedes-Benz SUV/Coupe Models for 2019 Model Year
Mercedes-Benz is ushering in many changes to several of its models for the 2019 model year. With the exception of the G-Class (since it was totally reinvented), we put together a quick overview of the updates to the Mercedes-Benz SUV/Coupe models for 2019.

GLA
The Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV will offer two new exterior paint color options for 2019–Iridium Silver & Denim Blue. As for the AMG® configuration, the SUV received some new standard equipment, including a Premium Package, a Convenience Package, and 20″ AMG® multi-spoke wheels.
GLC SUV & Coupe
The Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV and Coupe received several changes for 2019, including the addition of heated front seats and a 115V power outlet as standard equipment. 3-zone climate control, two new wheel options, and an Off-Road Engineering Package are newly available. The GLS SUV also received EQ Power updates for the plug-in hybrid model.
As for the AMG® model, updates include the following:
- Available AMG® Performance Seats and AMG® Nappa/DINAMICA Performance steering wheel
- New designo packages
- AMG® Performance Studio Package now includes new AMG® Optics Package
- New AMG® SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9-speed transmission
GLE & GLE Coupe
The Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV and GLE Coupe will return for the 2019 model year with no equipment changes.
GLS
The Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV will return for 2019 with several significant changes, including a new Grand Edition model available for the GLS 450 and GLS 550 configurations. The model features a luxurious interior with designo Porcelain/Espresso Brown Nappa Leather, designo Natural Grain Linden wood trim with stripes, and unique 20″ 10-spoke wheels with black accents.
