There are plenty of events happening for Veterans Day near Peoria, Arizona. Finding out which one you want to go to, however, can be a bit trickier. Veterans Day Events near Peoria
Phoenix Veterans Day Parade: The annual Veterans Day Parade will begin on Monday, Nov. 12th at 11 am. It will begin at Montebello and Central and ends on Indian School Road.
Veterans Day Concert: Enjoy the Apollo High School performance at the Episcopal Church in Scottsdale while Veterans read poetry as well. This will occur at 2 pm. on Sunday, November 11th. No cost!
“In Memorium”: Kimberly Marshall, who is a professor at Arizona State University, will present 5 centuries of organ music at Organ Hall in ASU to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.
Veterans Day Walk: A 3-mile hike with historian Len Marcisz. This hike starts on the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve on Saturday, Nov. 10th at 7:45 am. to 10:30 am.
19Th Annual Veterans Day Gourd Dance & Free Museum admission: On Sunday, Nov. 11th from 11 am to 4 pm., you can enjoy the Veterans Day Gourd Dance. Free admission for the museum lasts from 11 am. to 4:45 pm.

From parades to concerts and dance, there are various ways that people are celebrating and thanking our veterans this Veterans Day. These are only four options that we have found; there are plenty more that you can find not only near Peoria, but also in nearby places like Phoenix and Scottsdale as well.
