2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS trim level breakdown

The trim level breakdown for the GLS is simple as there are only two trims available. The lineup begins with the GLS 450 4MATIC® and tops out with the GLS 580 4MATIC®. As you may have surmised given the names, both trims come standard with Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.

There is a difference in engines for these two trim levels. The GLS 450 4MATIC® comes with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine that can deliver 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The GLS 580 4MATIC® gets a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo that can output 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Both models include an integrated starter generator which can provide a boost of up to 21 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.

In terms of features, the GLS 580 4MATIC® adds 21-inch wheels, a 5-zone climate control system, active multi-contour seats with massage, and also adds a lot of available features like the night package, 23-inch wheels, and even the AMG® line.
